Novel-T traveled to Chicago for the 2012 Printers Row Lit Fest this weekend and had a great time at the festival and around the city at large.
Among the countless folks that came by the Novel-T booth were a photographer and reporter from The Chicago Tribune, who were kind enough to include Novel-T in their festival coverage:
"On Polk Street, there was Novel-T, a Brooklyn-based business selling mock literary baseball jerseys. The hottest seller was Edgar Allan Poe. The front of the shirt showed a raven and the back read "Poe" with, beneath it, the number, "13." But "Eggers" (with a picture of a stapler on front, a reference to Dave Eggers' memoir "A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius") wasn't doing too badly either."
The Trib's photos of Novel-T at the festival are up here and here.

In honor of the launch of the 2012 baseball season, Novel-T is proud to present our first ever Novel-T baseball card.
Featuring the National Canons' starting third basemen Edgar Allan Poe in his Novel-T raven jersey on the front, the card also includes Eddie "The Ragin' Raven" Poe's famous poem, "The Rookie," on the back.
More about the jersey, and the text of The Rookie, go here.

This week we posted an article on our blog pairing books and beers. Dogfish Head's brewmaster Sam Calagione was kind enough to give some suggestions, and we asked around the web for suggestions. We're pleased to tell you about three of our favorite pairings, and we're awarding each of the three suggesters a free Novel-T:
#1: Posted by Jeff Stern
Fullsteam’s Carver Sweet Potato Lager with Raymond Carver’s short fiction, Abita Turbo Dog with John Kennedy Toole’s A Confederacy of Dunces, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale with David Foster Wallace’s The Pale King and Rogue Dead Guy with Doug Dorst’s Alive in Necropolis.
I went for actual style/feel pairings rather than strictly going for the best pun.
