Mr Darcy T-Shirt
The handsome, winning shortstop for the National Puncs, Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy signed a much-publicized contract for ten thousand a year.
And yes, ladies, he's single!
Mr. Darcy--"Fitz" to his teammates--spent many years as an unaffiliated player. Reportedly, he at first rejected the idea of playing with the Puncs, as he thought they were not worth his attention. "Barely tolerable," he dared say.
But the more he watched the Puncs play, the more he knew he wanted to be with them. Now he has been properly humbled, and set the Novel-T record for the league's longest hitting streak.
When asked about when he realized he was going to break the record (which had formerly been held by Henry "Mr. Consistency" Thoreau), Darcy replied, I cannot fix on the hour, or the look, or the words, which laid the foundation. It is too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew that I had begun.
Emblazoned with the official Darcy family crest.
