Zora Neale Hurston T-Shirt
Batting second for the National Puncs this year, the stylish and outspoken Zora Neale Hurston.
Affectionately known to her teammates simply as Zora, Hurston grew up playing baseball in the deep South. "Their eyes were watching God," she noted in a recent interview about her childhood, "but mine were on the ball."
Hurston plays third for the Puncs, and she's not afraid to get a little dirty to get the job done right. One might chalk this up to her years of anthropological studies, or perhaps it's simply an intense desire to prove herself. At the plate, Hurston peppers the ball to all parts of the field with the help of her unique bat, carved from the trunk of a pear tree.
This is the perfect jersey for fans of Hurston--or anyone who, like Janie and Tea Cake, leads a life of passion, intelligence, adventure and pride.
